Mr. Werner. is an explorer. From foreign countries and exquisite tastes. He appreciates a good character – in humans as in beans.
Because Mr. Werner prefers to work on something that is at least as dear to the Austrian as the Mozartkugel: his coffee. For some people it is an early morning elixir of life, for the other an enjoyable companion for work, break or social gathering. For us it is a supplement to our rich and organic breakfast after a quiet and restful night in the hotel. Especially for Mr. Werner, who tickles completely new facets of the black gold with his traditional coffee roasting.

Mr. Werner is a passionate coffee roaster. From his voyages of discovery to the tastiest corners of the world, he brings along the best beans and roasts them with love in the first coffee roastery of the Tennengau. At the same time, Mr. Werner is not a man for the fast life. Rather, he is a researcher and inventor, giving every bean the time it needs. Mr. Werner does not care a lot about the industrial 90-second roasting. In his roastery, every bean is allowed to linger long enough in the cast-iron drum roaster until it finds its perfect profile – no matter whether it takes 12 or even 15 minutes to do so. “Good coffee takes time,” says the coffee pioneer. “First for gentle roasting and then for enjoyment”
The taste of the wide world
Meanwhile, his Tennengau roasting craft brings connoisseurs three excellent coffees – both of course organic and fair and regional roasted. First, the 100 percent Arabica “Ras Royal” from Ethiopia, which carries in its espresso roast delicate flavors of butter biscuit, chocolate and nut in itself.
On the other hand, Mr. Werner has brought the taste highlight “Dey Duma” from his voyages of discovery. Without any plantation and under biological growth conditions, the wild wild-coffee-cherries for this special product mature on coffee trees up to 10 meters high. Hand-picked and sun-dried directly in the pulp, the finished coffee has a hint of dark chocolate and berries in it.
Finally “Bai Bhanu” is an excellent organic espresso blend from Mr. Werner: full aroma and a lot of crema, thanks to the harmonious blend of Arabica and Robusta beans. Dark nougat shades from South India encounter light citrus notes from East Africa.
