The time is near: the “Sterne Award 2017”, the most important hotel prize for many years, will be bestowed by the “Österreichische Gastronomie- und Hotelzeitung” (ÖGZ) and the association of hotels in the “Wirtschaftskammer Österreich” (WKO)! Our Green Hotel zur Post can count itself among the proud candidates who have been nominated by an expert panel. In the category “Hotelier des Jahres” we rely on our contented hotel guests as they can vote for their favourite here. We are looking forward to your support!
The motto of the famous hotel prize reads “creation of value and appreciation through sustainability”. In this context, an independent expert panel will reward one of the candidates as “hotel of the future”. However, also you are on the spot! Because at the online public voting, all the contented guests can elect the Green Hotel zur Post “Hotelier(/e) des Jahres”. The ballot runs until the 5th of November 2017 and among all the participants, ten bottles of Rose Selection from Sziget will be raffled. On the 12th of November, the winner will be announced at the Sterne-Gala of the ÖGZ in the Kavalierhaus Keßheim and we would be delighted if we stood on the winner’s podium then! But therefore we need your vote!
In the matter of sustainability, we from the Green Hotel zur Post are present right at the front! Our own photovoltaic installations on the hotel roof provide us with plenty of energy and we get the remaining “clean” power from the Ökostrom AG. They target a sustainable energy economy and the expansion of renewable energy sources. Moreover, we inserted water saving tapware in our basins and showers in order to massively reduce the water and energy consumption. Also using biological cotton towels, energy-saving bulbs and eco friendly detergents as well as the active implementation of waste prevention strategies make us one of the most sustainable hotels in Austria. It is not for nothing that we are the Bio Hotel with the lowest carbon footprint which was also rewarded with the ehc certificate for its achievements in the sector of sustainability.
